Jaxon Smith died Monday, July 3 at his home in Andover Township, according to a GoFundMe launched by a loved one.

“…an unimaginable tragedy struck Jesse (and his wife, Karen) Smith in the early morning hours as, he found his son, Jax (Jaxon) lifeless in his bed,” reads the campaign. “At only 7 years old, Jax left this world and his heartbroken family behind.”

Forever known for his larger-than-life personality and infinitely kindhearted soul, Jax was a “beast on the wrestling mat and in the soccer field.”

“Despite his small stature, he would easily take down opponents twice his size,” the campaign says.

Above all, Jax was an incredible little brother to his siblings, Jake, Justin, and Jesse Jr.

“To know Jax was to love him,” writes campaign organizer Megan Smith.

“He has left a whole in his brothers’ hearts far bigger than his body. Jax’s future was so bright. Jax was taken from this world unexpectedly, tragically, unfairly, and way before he should have been.”

Donations had surpassed $29,600 in just two days.

“As you can imagine, Jesse and Karen are absolutely devastated,” Smith writes.

The funds will be used for the beloved boy's memorial, which was set for Cochran Funeral Home on Saturday, July 8th, according to a campaign update.

The Andover Township Volunteer Fire Department shared its condolences as well:

“We are holding you all close in our hearts,” reads the post.

“Pay it forward in Jaxon's memory and tell someone just how much they mean to you. Life is too short.”
